So long as the motor’s short enough both longitudinally and vertically, it’ll fit in a Subaru. The question is, what do you sacrifice?

No, you lose the “opportunity” to change head gaskets every 90k.

Those cries of anguish are more screams of delight.

Mount this in the back of a WRX wagon. Turn the front into a frunk. And then listen to the cries of the haters.

I have two reasons why not.

1. It’d be way cheaper to start with a vanilla wagon.

2. Twinstar .

A. Custom shallow oil pan, or

B. Lift kit

The cries of the haters would be one of the main draws for me. No WRX = fewer cries.

Even more understeer than normal.

The entire engine hangs out in front of the front axle.

Center of mass and shape of the boxer makes it kinda sorta acceptable.

Any other engine? I’m thinking lots and lots of understeer.

Is that a big fat valve cover on top? I thought Subies had pancake engines.

You’re right that it’s not a Subie motor, it’s a Honda motor out of a RSX/Civic Si. Misinterpreted your question there.
